Your Role

Are you an experienced manager who enjoys close leadership and wants to shape the future support for Stockholm's adult job seekers? We are now looking for a unit manager for Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydost, where you will make a difference for employees and residents in the southern and southeastern parts of the city who are seeking their next step towards work or studies.

In this role, you will be involved in developing the work around the new activity requirement that will be introduced in July 2026 – an exciting assignment where you can influence working methods, test ideas, and build new solutions together with your team. Welcome to Us

Jobbtorg Stockholm is a department within the Labor Market Administration with the mission to help Stockholmers find their place in working life. We work to ensure that people who are job seekers and receive social assistance become self-sufficient through work and/or studies. The goal is for everyone to find their way to their own sustainable livelihood.

Currently, there are four Jobbtorgs for adults within the department, where Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydost covers the southern and southeastern parts of Stockholm with catchment areas in Farsta, Enskede-Årsta-Vantör (EÅV), and Skarpnäck. The target group is adults aged 30 – 66 years, with various backgrounds, experiences, and conditions, but with the commonality that they are outside the labor market.

The department intends to split the current Jobbtorg Vuxna Sydost into two units. As a unit manager in this role, you will be responsible for the catchment area of Skarpnäck and Farsta and will lead 15–20 employees, the majority of whom are job coaches working according to the Supported Employment (SE) method. In close collaboration with your fellow unit manager, you will lead the operations. You will support each other and ensure that the operations achieve their goals and that the applicants receive the best possible support.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who wants to take on a developing managerial assignment in a dynamic organization where you can influence, test, and create long-term results for both employees and the residents of Stockholm.

We are looking for someone who has:

• relevant higher education or equivalent experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• several years of current managerial or supervisory experience in a relevant area for the position
• experience in driving and contributing to strategic development work
• experience in change management with documented good results.
• good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working with labor market issues
• experience working with financial assistance.

It is important that you can communicate clearly and have a good ability to collaborate and build good relationships internally and externally, valuing cooperation with the business community. Last but not least, a good overall perspective and the ability to consider the best interests of the entire operation in actions and decisions are required. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities, commitment, and motivation for the position.
